Entering A New World(Open)

Turnjak ripped through the air. His beak as curved as ever. He decided to land on a deep ledge overlooking the rest of the smaller mountains. He would be at the peek. He dove through the clouds, precipitation chilling him through his feathers. He landed with a large thud as he neatly placed his talons on the rough limestone. He stepped into a cave protected by the falling snow and freezing winds. It was large and hollow, filled with many caves that led off of one another.

Cher woke up and padded out to see another griffin. "Hello." She said camlyu, sitting and folding her tail across her feet.

"Greetings." Tornjak turned and dipped his feathered head. "I'm Tornjak."

"Pleased to meet you. My true name is very had to pronouce. You should just call me Cher." She replied, the wind playing with her peacock feather.

"Okay," he layed out his tail so that they could shake tails. "Nice to meet you."

Cher accepted the greeting and then looked around. "I am guessing you are looking for a place to stay? You are welcome to live in any of the caves for as long as you like. I cannot occupy so many."

"I've been staying here for two days, I'm suprised I haven't seen you. Thanks for the offer." Tornjak replied, usually he was gruff. Today he was in a suprisingly good mood.

"It is a big area. I have been here for a few years."

"Well, now I'm here. I'm going hunting soon, would you like to come?" Tornjak asked.

"Sure. Safty in numbers." CHer peplied.
GUESS I'M TOO SHORT 'N' MUSELESS

Tornjak stood up and spread his wings. "I'm going now. Are you coming?" he asked politely.

"Yeah." Cher looked at Tornjak for a moment. "Any specific thing you want to hunt?"

Tornjak shook his head. "No, I was hoping you could choose." he admitted.

"Well....I'm not really sur eeither. The best pickings are taken by dragtons." SHe sighed.

Tornjak drove his talons into the stone cave. "Dragons." he growled. "Choose what you want, I won't be one to have dragons push me around." he snarled.

Cher gave a chuckle. "You wouldn't be so deffinant if there where several ripping you appart."

Tornjak snorted. "I'm no coward. I would rather die fighting than shriveling up in some old den, having young ones care for me."

"I never said you where one. Any Griffin would rather die protecting their close ones then stay with the guilt of abandoing them." Cher closed her eyes sadly, thinking of Karisho, the handsome griffin in her old flock. He was the one her father had killed first. Cher could have saved him, but she had left him. And now she would have to live with the guilt.

"I'm glad you agree with me." Tornjak saw the look on her face, eyes clamped shut. He'd lost his family, he knew that face. He, from then on, had just fought anything for survival. He took on a dragon once or twice, he lost count. "So where should we go?" he asked briskly, trying to change the subject.

"Well, I like the forest but others are not so keen on being able to fly freely.. How about the medows?" Cher was glad that Tornjak had broken her daynightmare (Is that even a word?).

"We can go to the forest, it's up to you." Tornjak nodded.

"Fine. Its really up to you"

Tornjak replied with a small grunt and a generous dip of his head. He leaped off the ledge and soared through the air. They would go to the forest and he would stop at the river. Fish were delicious there.

Cher flew after him.
