In the Trees

Miyo padded through the forest, her ears pricked for anything. She soon heard a rabbit, and prepared to catch it.

Miyo jumped on the rabbit, and bit it quickly, killing it.

Chiyo watched the kitsune as he crouched in the bushes. "A snack," he licked his lips and bunched his muscles, tucked his wings close to his sides, prepared to leap. "Just a snack."

Miyo's ears pricked and she picked up her kill, walking swiftly away.

Chiyo erupted from the trees and leaped at the kitsune, his sharp teeth bared.

Miyo jumped out of the way, barely in time, and dropped the rabbit. She pointed her tail at her attacker, and shot a beam of electricity at them.

Chiyo yelped and leapt back, his thick fur and feathers on end from the blast of electricity. He shook his head several times, his head buzzing from the shock.

Miyo looked at the winged wolf and growled, crouching over her kill. Her tail was still pointed at the wolf.

cHIYO GROWLED AND EXTENDED HIS VIOLET WINGS. hE WAITED FOR THE KITSUNE TO MAKE A MOVE. "i'M MORE THAN TWICE YOUR SIZE, KITSUNE. jUST TRY TO BEAT ME."

Miyo sent out another bolt of lightning out of her tail, then created a wall of fire in a circle around her. I hope this fight ends soon, She thought, I don't want to set the forest on fire. "If only I was in my real form." Miyo muttered to herself, forgetting her ball for a second, which was in front of her.

Isamu was hunting when he noticed a HUGE ring of fire. What the...? He walked up and saw Chiyo. Isamu gave Chiyo a look, thinking he had caused this.

Chiyo glanced at Isamu, and back at the kitsune. He growled menacingly and trotted to his friend.
"Stupid fox," he rumbled, looking back up at Isamu. "Was your hunt any better?" he asked, leading the way back into the trees.

Isamu shook his head, indicating it wasn't. That fox was lucky. He thought. All of the sudden, Isamu heard a rustling noise. He is vestigated, and found a lone squirrel getting something to eat.

Miyo watched the wolf walk away. What do I do about the fire? She thought, Everyone will be furious once they find out what I did! Miyo started running back and forth from a nearby stream, bringing water and putting the flames out little by little. When every flame was put out, Miyo picked up her rabbit and star ball, and headed to a nearby bush. She ducked under, and began to eat in peace.

Chiyo's ears swiveled to the side as Isamu darted off after some prey. He sighed, starting back to the pack's cave, wondering if the new pups had opened their eyes yet.

Isamu quickly killed the squirrel, and headed to the cave. He brought his kill over to Shyla, and offered it to her. She needs it more than me.

Miyo finished eating her rabbit, and covered the remains. She began walking through the woods, looking for a place to build a camp.

Miyo found a clearing and paused, wondering about it. No. She decided, It's too open. Miyo continued walking.

Korad was wandering the forest, hoping there were others like her. She saw Miyo through a bush and pushed through the brush to confront her. "Hi." she greeted friendly. She swished her tails around, the fire one, the ice one, and the one that gave her her physic powers and could be used to form air into different shapes like tornadoes.

"Hello." Miyo said in reply. "Could you help me find somewhere we could camp?" She asked Korad.

Karturo jumped down from the branch he had been sitting in and looked at the other two kitsunes. "Greatings." He said, showing no expression.

"Hey." Korad replied. "Sure." she answered to Miyo. "I'm Korad, a fellow kitsune, as you can see." she smiled, introducing herself to the others. "I know of a hollow north of here, it's not to far away and it has a stream going through it. It's very small, but the old burrows and small caves could be dens."

"That sounds like a good place." Miyo said, nodding. "Hello." She replied to Kartuo.

Korad startd to lead the way, slipping through trees and over bushes. It was a few hours past when she found the hollow she was talking about.

Karturo twitched and sniffed. "It seems something already inhabits this area?" He asked, loking at Korad.

Miyo looked at the area Korad had thought of. There's something odd here.
