Mallikai's Hunt

Scanning the earth below, Mallikai's eyes caught a big jackalope. "May be just a snack, but it's still worth it." He tilted his wings slightly, his whole body moving the same. He circled in the air, calculating the best possible way to attack. He finally folded in his wings and dropped, closing in on the jackalope.

Maruko watched as the dragon swoop down to the jackalope and waited until he killed it to then come out. "Fancy hunting. too bad i was too late to pounce on it." he said gazing across the jackalope.

Mallikai bent his head to take a bite, but was interrupted. He glanced up at the demon before him, warmed by his comment. "Share?" he grasped the jackalope in his jaws and tossed it in front of himself. "I'm not very hungry, and I can always catch something else." he offered, sitting up.

"hmph very generous of you." as he started walk forward to the jackalope and started to nible on it.

Mallikai swished his tail in acknowledgement and stepped back, allowing the demon to eat. He glanced around, at the surrounding trees, at the stream a few yards away. "What's it like living here, in the forest?" he flopped down, flicking the tip of his long tail back and forth. "There's not much room to fly, with all the trees,"

"Well we don't fly and there are collars that keep us from coming into true demon form." he said. He had his share from the jackalope and thought that most dragons are mean but this onne is nice and curious.

"Really? You have no idea what your missing!" he rolled onto his back, gently flapped his wings. "It's great, y'know," he said as his belly grumbled loudly. "Oops," he froze in embarrassement. "S-sorry," he rolled back over, propping himself up on his right elbow. "I guess I was hungrier than I thought..." he reached forward and grasped the leftover jackalope in his jaws and swallowed it quickly, fur, bones and all.

Maruko laughed sliently. "Well maybe we should hunt together?" He said. Then thought what do dragons really eat!?!?!

He perked up at the thought of more hunting. Bouncing to his feet, he said eagerly, "Sure!"

"Uhh so what do dragons eat?" he said thinking. Probaly something big. Well im probaly going to have a good lunch. He smiled of the thought of him eating a centaur. He started to sprinting forward excepting the dragon to follow by flying. "What is your name?"

"Mallikai," he replied. "And....we pretty much eat a lot of pegasus, unicorn, centaur. The sorts." Mallikai followed, paws(DON'T SAY A WORD) pounding on the ground as he surged forward, wings folded neatly to his sides. "I can smell....I can smell some pegasus up ahead, near the meadow." he grinned slightly. "I love hunting pegasus; they put up a good chase." he could imagine the winged horses now.

"yeah, your right" he said then started to run trying to catch up with the pegasi. " its harder for me though because they can take off like hunting a bird."

"I'll help if you have any trouble." he said, taking a sharp right through the thick trees and toward the source of the scent. The image in his mind was clear now: two lone brother stallions, wandering aimlessly through the undergrowth. A puff of smoke escaped Mallikai's nostrils as he closed in on the prey; he slowed, so his booming footsteps would not be detected.

Maruko silenting stalk his prey then waited for awhile. He then heard a crackling nose from under his foot. A TWIG!?!!? how clumsy of me he thought. Then saw the pegasus starting to take off. But when it was 10 feet from the ground he leaped in air and caught it with his claw brought it down and killed it with a swift bite to the neck. " you can have mine im not hungry. Take it to your clan."

Mallikai roared, leaping up after the second stallion. "Gotcha!" his mouth clamped down on its hind leg and he reached up to snag his claws in its wing. He landed with a resounding boom, and grinned as he heard it echo through the trees. "Mmm," he grasped the prey's neck in his mouth and shook his head. "Save it," he told his new friend.

"Have you ever seen a demon wolf seot for me?"

Mallikai shook his head. "Nuh-uh," he said.

"hmm well time i went back to the mountains."
